Dear Supporters,
I am writing to share some news with you which I hope you will feel as excited about as I do. This news is initially being shared amongst a special group of people, of which -You – are amongst the first because you are one of our earliest supporters and rank amongst our longest standing.
The first significant development is that, with the continuing interest we are receiving from musicians who wish to participate in our Campaigns against Unplanned Pregnancy (UP), we have decided that it would be appropriate to widen the scope of the Virtual Gigs operation so that, as time passes, we can use the same methods in support of other worthwhile causes which deserve assistance. As you will remember, the UP campaign itself, is intended to carry on for 30 years, however, we take the view that we should not simply limit our interests to this purpose alone. There are very many other worthy matters which do not attract sufficient notice, so we will wish to explore the expansion of the Virtual Gigs (VG) service into some of these in due course.
To achieve this, we will be establishing VG as a Club for Good Causes, and although the first series of planned events will be in support of the UP Campaign, which will continue for many years, we will also be adding further worthy Good Causes into our Agendas for the deployment of the VG Registered Artistes. As a result, many more Events, Musical Productions and Videos will emerge over the years than we originally conceived.
In the furtherance of these wider objectives, we think it appropriate to Offer all present List Members, of which you are one, the opportunity to become a Registered Active Supporter (RAS) and to derive the benefits such a status would provide. This would be the Basic Level Membership Level of the VG Club.
The Fee for this Membership level is £30 and is set at this to cover the initial administration costs of setting up the Club and establishing the Membership records. However, it is yours FREE of charge for registering NOW – by opting-in* at the bottom of this page, http://www.you-choose-when.com/ or the one below – as you are one of our core Club members having been with us from the start of VG΄s life. For your continued support at this level, we offer the following eight (8) benefits for becoming a Registered Active Supporter (RAS):

2. A lifetime discount of 10 % from all purchases of VG Club Products and entry to Events.
3. The right to suggest to the Club Organisers, potential Good Causes for support from future
Events which you feel are worthy of assistance. (These would be considered by a Panel
established to select those deemed most suitable at any time.)
However, our news does not end there. As you know, we plan to Launch Virtual Gigs at a First Event. This is anticipated in early summer of 2010 and it is intended that this Event will establish Virtual Gigs for the long term and make the future of all work towards Good Causes certain.
To get the First Event launched successfully, therefore, we will create a further Level of membership, to be called Inaugural Member (IM).
To become an Inaugural Member, you would need to Pledge to attend the First Event, planned for Spring or Summer 2010, at a price of £100 – which is itself, a discounted Price. We anticipate normal Ticket Prices to start at a minimum of £150.
To become an Inaugural Member (IM), you must first become a Registered Active Supporter (RAS).
New Members recommended by you, can also gain rights to become Inaugural Members – but only if they apply before August 31st this year by opting-in* at the bottom of this page, http://www.you-choose-when.com, and before a predetermined total Membership level of 50,000 is achieved. (*We are going to communicate with you in person within Three (3) Working Days.)
The planned Benefits of being an Inaugural Member will be:
4. A lifetime discount of 20% from all purchases of VG Club Products and entry to Events
5. A Free CD (video and audio) shipped over to you or Download of every Event
6. A Free Admission Ticket – Transferable – to the Initial Event when you get four (4)
additional new Members to the Club who are also willing to Pledge attendance at the
First Event. This is the equivalent of a 25% discount per new Member introduced who
also Pledges to attend.
If each Inaugural Member does not manage to achieve four (4) new Members who also Pledge to attend, the discount rate for each IM will drop to the following:
For 1 new Member – 10% from the Price of the IM΄s Ticket
For 2 new Members – 30% from the Price of the IM΄s Ticket
For 3 new Members – 60% from the Price of the IM΄s Ticket
To demonstrate the personal commitment of the Member, this level of Inaugural Member will also have Four Star Grades:
There are:
One Star - Achieving one further new Inaugural Member
Two Stars - Achieving two further new Inaugural members
Three Stars - Achieving three further new Inaugural Members
Four Stars - Achieving four further new Inaugural Members
To permit you to assess how this will work, we have set the Maximum Number of Discounted Tickets available for the First Event at 4,000 for each of the Star Levels, to be granted on a First Come First Served Basis. If any Inaugural Member is unlucky in achieving their own level of discount but have applied within the time limits, they will be given the next available Discount Level lower than their own, provided there is still a capacity to do so.
Please remember that the fully discounted Inaugural Ticket for the First Event will be fully Transferable. In other words, if somebody recommends 4 others who themselves Pledge to attend, then they get a Free Ticket which they can then either use, or give as a gift, or sell on the day of the Event. Effectively, they would get paid for simply introducing new Members – and this is an incentive which will be also be open to those new Members they have Introduced as well, so long as they all apply before the deadline date or before the Maximum Inaugural Membership Level is achieved, whichever happens first.
All other benefits accruing to the Inaugural Members will continue in perpetuity and a Members΄ coding system will be set up to record the Star grades.
