… At least not for me. This was made possible with the simple knowledge I found in a little booklet when I was 16. Since then I´ve lived life without fear of Unplanned Pregnancy (UP). Two years ago, before I got the idea to write a book on the subject, I was blissfully ignorant about the problems people around me were having with UP or contraceptive drugs. Frankly I was lucky to have read *that* book at the most appropriate time of my life, but it seems that not many people had it *that* easy.
Yet, it is so simple and easy to avoid UP using only natural and proven ways. You will be amazed… If you have teenage children make them aware of this link, www.you-choose-when.com and by all means start to research natural family planning… The trouble with contraceptive drugs is that they don´t always work (60% of Australian women became pregnant while on conventional contraception.*), but also, since they come with side effects, which can require even more prescribed drugs that may also have side effects… I initiated an awareness campaign on MySpace on 12 January 2008 after our UK Health Minster, Lord Darzi, introduced contraceptive drugs for FREE to children under 16 years of age. I found his decision both abhorrent and totally unnecessary. I thought our children don´t need drugs to avoid UP, but instead, a simple information that will allow them to avoid the problem at no cost or toxic side effect every time.
The Campaign quickly received the support of parents, teenage girls & boys and people from all walks of life including politicians and music artists. We formed Virtual Gigs band, which will tour the world spreading the word for the next 30 years. Today, just over a year after the Campaign was created, it has received the support of over 20,000 people. However, our goal is to reach and share this knowledge with 1 billion people by 2020. Let there be fewer Unplanned Pregnancy in the years to come! *
